Wisdom Hashimu, a 13-year-old from Ungwan Maigero Community in Kaduna State, allegedly committed suicide after being brutally beaten by a soldier and members of the civilian Joint Task Force (JTF).
Accused falsely of stealing ₦10,000 by a neighbor, Wisdom was taken to the JTF office by the soldier and beaten severely on June 1, 2024. Despite receiving medical treatment, Wisdom was found dead by hanging on June 6, 2024. His parents are demanding justice, and the Kaduna State Police are investigating the incident.
