Amassoma, Bayelsa State – The Niger Delta University (NDU) community is reeling from shock and grief following the brutal murder of Francis Paleowei, a first-class final-year student of Political Science.
The incident occurred at the Amassoma sand dump, a popular relaxation spot for students. According to sources, a group of local youths confronted Francis, demanding N150. When he refused, they attacked and fatally injured him. The deceased hailed from Obrigbene in the Ekeremor Local Government Area.
This tragic event has incited unrest within the university community, with students and faculty alike mourning the loss of a promising young scholar.
