President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser, Bayo Onanuga, has called on Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, to lead an upcoming nationwide protest.

Onanuga urged Obi to follow the examples of Tinubu and former President Muhammadu Buhari, who led protests in the past, rather than staying behind the scenes.

Onanuga emphasized that true leadership means being at the forefront and managing the protest’s direction. The protest, set for August 1, has been organized by activist Omoyele Sowore and aims to address the hunger and suffering many Nigerians are experiencing under Tinubu’s administration. Despite warnings from the government and some state governors, the protest’s organizers are determined to proceed.
