Nigerians have taken to the streets in a large-scale protest dubbed “Days of Rage,” denouncing hunger and economic hardship under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

The demonstrations, spanning from August 1 to 10, were organized by prominent figures, including human rights lawyers Femi Falana and Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, activist Deji Adeyanju, and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore.

In Jos, Dr. Isa El-Buba led the protests, urging participants to remain peaceful. However, the protests in Abuja and Bauchi faced police resistance, with officers using tear gas to disperse crowds. Despite these challenges, protesters in cities like Benin and Lagos remained resolute, voicing their discontent over economic difficulties. The nationwide protests highlight growing dissatisfaction with governance and economic conditions in Nigeria.
