Sentuo Group has received a license to operate Sentuo Oil Refinery in Ghana. Executive Chairman, Mr. Xu Ningquan, stated, “Ghana must work towards developing its refinery capabilities to add value to its large crude oil deposits if it desires to take charge of its economy.”

The country currently imports over $2 billion worth of petroleum products annually. The Sentuo Group has invested $980 million in a refinery in Tema, with plans to expand its capacity.

Mr. Anibor Kragha, Executive Secretary of the African Refiners and Distributors Association (ARDA), praised the initiative, noting it would significantly boost Africa’s energy sector. He emphasized ARDA’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for African oil refiners.
