Islamic scholar Sheikh Aliyu Ibrahim has strongly criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration, describing the recent hike in Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) prices as “total madness.” The price increase, from N617 to N897 per liter, has sparked widespread frustration across Nigeria due to skyrocketing transportation and goods costs.

In a viral video, Sheikh Ibrahim expressed his belief that this economic hardship will cost Tinubu his re-election bid in 2027, stating, “no sane person would vote” for a government responsible for such policies. He further lamented, “whoever advised the president to do this is mad,” underscoring his frustration with the current administration’s approach.
