Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes was arrested in Spain on September 8 for allegedly stealing a mobile phone in a bathroom at La Riviera nightclub in Madrid. According to El Mundo, Nunes stated, “The man was trying to take my photograph without my consent,” which prompted his reaction.

Witnesses suggested the incident may have stemmed from a misunderstanding, as one claimed the man “accidentally brushed against Nunes,” leading to the confrontation. Police later found the phone in Nunes’ hotel room, resulting in his brief detention before he was released on bail by.

Despite this controversy, he has resumed his football duties, having started in Manchester City’s recent Champions League match.
