National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has apprehended three blind individuals involved in an illegal drug network operating between Lagos and Kano. The group came to light after the arrest of Adamu Hassan, a 40-year-old blind man carrying 12 kilograms of skunk on the Gwagwalada expressway in Abuja. Investigations revealed that he was unaware of the bag’s contents. Further operations led to the capture of the ringleader, Bello Abubakar, aged 45, and another blind suspect, Muktar Abubakar, aged 59, both of whom have been living in Lagos for several years and are involved in the illicit drug trade. A fourth blind suspect, Mallam Aminu, who was to receive the consignment in Kano, remains at large.
