The Canada High Commission in Abuja has suspended its operations in Nigeria due to security concerns, issuing a travel advisory against non-essential travel to the country. This decision comes in the wake of a fire outbreak at the Canadian embassy in Abuja, which resulted in casualties. While the fire’s cause is still under investigation, the Canadian Foreign Minister expressed condolences, and President Bola Tinubu extended sympathies to the Canadian government and the victims of the incident.
