All is set for the significant entry of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and Senator Uche Ekwunife into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State.

Their move to the APC has intensified the political landscape, causing concerns for the incumbent Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Soludo and APGA are facing challenges due to the anticipated strengthening of the APC with the addition of these political heavyweights. This move might reshape the political dynamics in Anambra State ahead of the 2025 elections. The APC is forming a robust coalition with prominent politicians and a supportive base, positioning itself as a formidable force for governance in the state. The current administration under Soludo is criticized for what’s perceived as a focus on campaigning rather than governance, using tactics like rebranding federal initiatives as personal achievements.

There is a sentiment among the people that the promises made haven’t been fulfilled, leading to a readiness for change in leadership by 2025.The APC is seen as crafting a new, progressive narrative and potentially offering an alternative to the present administration, with the entry of Ubah and Ekwunife accelerating the party’s momentum toward the upcoming elections, promising a competent leadership and a fresh approach to governance.
