The Udi monarchy announced the tragic death of Saudi Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at 62, following a fatal military airplane crash during a training mission in the Eastern Province on December 7, 2023.
The F-15 fighter jet crashed during an exercise with the Air Force. Funeral prayers for the prince are scheduled at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh, according to the Saudi royal court’s late Thursday statement. Prince Talal, the son of Prince Bandar and grandson of King Abdulaziz, had a distinguished military career, holding the rank of lieutenant colonel in the Royal Saudi Air Force and serving as assistant intelligence chief at the GIP from 2004 to 2012. Born in 1961, his passing marks a significant loss in Saudi Arabia’s royal family.
