Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, recounted her experience at the 2022 Shiloh program organized by the Living Faith Church Worldwide, where she expressed her desire to become a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
She approached Bishop David Oyedepo and requested his prayer for this goal. Oyedepo laid hands on her and blessed her, affirming that her wish would be fulfilled. In August of the following year, after a Senate screening, Edu was confirmed as a minister, becoming one of the youngest in President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet at the age of 37.
She attributed her achievement to divine intervention and credited God for making her appointment possible. This story highlights her journey and the role of faith in achieving her ministerial position.
