Nigerian songwriter Ewaoluwa Olatunji Nicole, also known as Ewa Cole, has taken legal action against Funke Akindele, Apple Inc, and others, alleging copyright infringement on her songs “Bhad Gyal” and “Opoor” featured in the movie “She Must Be Obeyed.”
Nicole, represented by her lawyer Adewale Williams, claims she was misled by a crew member working on the movie and her songs were reproduced without her consent. She seeks N300 million in compensation and a perpetual injunction against further infringement.
