Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate in both the 2019 and 2023 elections, has passionately called for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Sowore emphasized that justice is imperative for national peace and progress during an interview on Arise Television. He criticized the continuation of repressive policies from the previous administration, urging President Tinubu to chart a new path.
Sowore’s plea underscores growing concerns over Kanu’s prolonged incarceration since June 2021, following his controversial arrest and rendition to Nigeria.
