Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has disclosed a comprehensive plan for Gaza’s future following the conflict with Hamas.

Dubbed “The Day After Hamas Principles,” the proposal entails maintaining Israel’s blockade and exerting control over civilian affairs in the region. Notably, it excludes the Palestinian Authority from governance in Gaza and advocates for a significant security buffer within the territory, alongside border control with Egypt.

This diverges from the objectives of the US and EU, who favor Palestinian Authority control as a step towards statehood. The plan’s release coincides with the visit of US envoy Brett McGurk to Israel, prompting international attention and scrutiny.
