In a tragic incident, at least three soldiers from the Nigerian Army’s 14 Brigade Headquarters in Ohafia, Abia State, were killed in an assault by unknown gunmen.

The attack occurred at an army outpost situated on the Obikabia junction off Umuola in Aba North local government area. The assailants, arriving in a black SUV, caught the soldiers off guard, stealing their firearms and setting fire to the patrol van and outpost before fleeing.

This attack follows recent calls for increased security measures around military installations in Abia State. The Nigerian Army, along with concerned groups, is working to address the escalating security challenges in the region.
