Veteran Nollywood actor and Osogbo-based Ifa Priest, Chief Ifayemi Elebuibon, has highlighted the effectiveness of Yoruba traditional methods in resolving paternity disputes.
Speaking in Osogbo, Elebuibon criticized the rising cases of paternity fraud and pointed out that these traditional practices, which are less costly than DNA tests, can reliably determine a child’s paternity. He emphasized that the abandonment of Yoruba cultural practices in favor of foreign religions contributes to infidelity and paternity issues.
Elebuibon asserted that various traditional methods, once widely respected and used within families, offer a viable alternative for those seeking to resolve such disputes.
