The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has denounced the proposal to create Orlu State from the current Imo State.
National President Mazi Okwu Nnabuike labeled the initiative, championed by Hon. Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu, as a threat to South-East unity, arguing it lacks inclusivity and justice.
Okwu highlighted the 2014 National Confab’s recommendation for Etiti State, which better represents all parts of the South-East. He urged the National Assembly to abandon the Orlu State bill to avoid further regional discord and instead focus on the widely supported creation of Etiti State.
