Hezbollah has fired over 200 rockets and attack drones into northern Israel, causing fires and resulting in the death of an Israeli officer.

The assault followed the killing of senior Hezbollah commander Mohammed Nimah Nasser by an Israeli airstrike. Israel retaliated by targeting Hezbollah military structures in southern Lebanon, with Lebanese reports indicating one casualty from an Israeli drone strike in Houla. This exchange is part of escalating cross-border violence, heightening fears of a broader conflict.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to restore security in northern Israel, emphasizing that those who harm Israel will face severe consequences. The ongoing hostilities have displaced tens of thousands from border communities, and diplomatic efforts are intensifying to prevent further escalation. The UN and the US have warned of the potentially catastrophic consequences if the violence continues unchecked.
