US President Joe Biden condemned Russian missile strikes that killed at least 38 people in Ukraine, including two at Kyiv’s Ohmatdyt Children’s Hospital, describing them as a “horrific reminder of Russia’s brutality.”

Biden pledged to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses, with more measures to be announced at an upcoming NATO summit. Despite Russia’s denial, the UN and analysts confirmed Russia likely carried out the hospital attack. President Zelensky called the strike “brutal” and urged Western allies to increase air defense deliveries.

The NATO summit will focus on defense strategies, with leaders discussing further support for Ukraine. The UK’s Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer also condemned the attack and reiterated Britain’s commitment to supporting Ukraine. Additionally, a UN Security Council meeting has been called at Ukraine’s request to address the escalating situation.
