Tension rose at the Federal High Court in Abuja when Tigran Gambaryan, a detained Binance executive facing money laundering charges, collapsed in court.

The incident happened shortly after the trial was called to order by Justice Emeka Nwite. Despite efforts by his lawyer, Mark Mordi, SAN, to explain Gambaryan’s ill-health and request a postponement, the proceedings highlighted the ongoing legal challenges for the cryptocurrency firm.

Gambaryan, currently held at Kuje Correctional Centre, had his bail application denied earlier due to concerns he might flee.
