Afrobeats star Davido expressed disappointment that the cash he and his wife received during their extravagant June 25, 2024, wedding did not tally with the amount sprayed by guests.
Despite the lavish display of wealth, the money taken home was less than expected, leading to his public lament on social media. The discrepancy is partly attributed to Nigeria’s strict Naira mutilation regulations. Dignitaries from various sectors attended the wedding, spraying dollar bills in celebration, yet the actual funds collected at the end of the event were significantly lower.
Davido’s remark highlights a common issue faced by many during such celebrations, raising questions about the handling and accounting of sprayed money.
