At least 16 people were killed in a shooting incident in U.S city of Lewiston, Maine, which began at a bowling alley and a restaurant around 18:56 local time on Wednesday. Residents in Lewiston and nearby Lisbon were advised to shelter in place. The suspect, Robert Card, is considered armed and dangerous. While authorities have not officially confirmed the death toll, CBS has reported at least 16 fatalities, with unconfirmed reports of approximately 50 people injured. Michael Sauschuck, the commissioner in Maine’s Department of Public Safety, confirmed “multiple casualties.” Lewiston is Maine’s second-largest city with a population of around 38,000.
