Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, a devoted advocate for mental health, caregiving, and women’s rights, peacefully passed away at the age of 96 at her residence in Plains, Georgia.
The Carter Center, the couple’s non-profit organization, confirmed her death, stating that she died surrounded by her family on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 2:10 p.m.
