A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the interim forfeiture of $4,719,054, N830,875,611, and numerous properties linked to former Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele.
The assets, including cash held in various banks and multiple properties, were linked to several individuals and companies. The court granted the order based on an ex-parte motion by the EFCC, with a final forfeiture hearing scheduled for July 2, 2024.
