SAHEL STANDARD honors Kehinde Bankole for her remarkable contributions to Nollywood and her continued excellence on the big screen.

Kehinde Bankole, born on March 27, 1985, in Ogun State, is the fourth of six children in her family. With a foundation in Mass Communication from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Bankole pivoted to modeling in 2004, making a mark in pageants like Miss Commonwealth Nigeria and Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria.

Her breakthrough came in 2007 as a Lux ambassador, leading to her acting debut in “Super Story: Everything it Takes.” Notable roles include Kiki Obi in “Desperate Housewives Africa” and a standout performance in the film “Adire,” which won her the Best Lead Actress at the 2024 AMVCA.

Apart from acting, Bankole hosts talk shows such as “Soul Sisters” and “African Kitchen.” Her filmography includes “October 1,” “Blood Sisters,” and “Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti.”
