A recent report highlights the desperate plea of Kenyan nationals trapped in Lebanon, seeking help to return home. Many of these individuals, initially drawn to Lebanon with the promise of employment opportunities, now find themselves living in dire conditions. Facing economic hardships, abuse, and exploitation, they are appealing to the Kenyan government for urgent assistance.

One Kenyan, speaking anonymously, expressed the collective cry of the group: “Please help us go home. We are suffering, and we have nowhere else to turn.” Several have lost their jobs due to Lebanon’s worsening economic crisis, leaving them unable to afford basic necessities, let alone a ticket home.

Kenyan labor rights organizations are calling for immediate action, urging the government to intervene and negotiate their safe return. As the situation worsens, many of those stranded feel abandoned and are asking for more diplomatic involvement to secure their safe passage home
