Despite facing threats from some South African football enthusiasts, Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has affirmed his decision to return to his South African club, Chippa United.

Nwabali, who became a target of hostility after his pivotal saves during the 2023 AFCON semi-final clash between Nigeria and South Africa, emphasized that he views the situation as part of the game and remains committed to fulfilling his obligations to his club.

While warnings have been issued, including from former CAF official Mazi Amanze Uchegbulam, Nwabali maintains his stance, asserting that football outcomes should not result in personal threats.
