In a recent interview on the program 90MinutesAfrica, Dr. Franklyne Ogbunwezeh, a Germany-based Nigerian lawyer, asserted that President Bola Tinubu would be incapable of reviving Nigeria even if given a century to lead. Ogbunwezeh criticized Tinubu’s governance, stating, “He does not have the capacity or the competence to govern Nigeria,” and added that without a clear agenda, any cabinet reshuffle would be ineffective.

He highlighted the president’s failure to introduce policies addressing rising inflation and the depreciating naira, criticizing his decision to eliminate petrol subsidies without providing support for citizens. Ogbunwezeh pointed out that “the forces that are hell-bent on making a buck out of every bad situation in Nigeria took over,” leaving Tinubu overwhelmed.

The lawyer also lamented the overall lack of direction in the government, remarking that the administration seems to rely on superficial measures, calling it a “rice government.” He warned that the situation is likely to worsen as the country is “captured” by unqualified leaders at every level of government.
