In a recent Facebook post, Rev. Kelvin Ugwu, a prominent Catholic priest, asserted that purity encompasses more than just sexual abstinence.

He emphasized that true purity involves maintaining a truthful heart, free from darkness and evil. Fr. Ugwu criticized those who, despite being virgins, harbor malevolent intentions and behave unjustly towards others. He urged believers to purge their hearts of bitterness and vile thoughts, aligning their actions with genuine Christian values.

Fr. Ugwu also highlighted instances of hypocrisy within religious communities, noting that some churchgoers mistreat their maids and drivers, contradicting the principles of their faith. He called for a deeper reflection on the essence of purity, stressing that it is about inner righteousness and integrity rather than merely external appearances.
