The Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers (NALPGAM) urges Senate action to curb rising gas prices due to alleged cabal activities. NALPGAM’s president, Oladapo Olatunbosun, called out terminal operators for inflating gas prices and causing artificial scarcity. Olatunbosun named several culprits and highlighted their significant profit margins. He stressed that Nigeria’s gas production should lead to affordable prices. Without intervention, gas could become a luxury item by December. The marketers emphasized the impact on forest depletion and hardship for the poor. The Senate promised to address the issue and support Nigerians’ access to affordable gas.
