The PDP has secured an early lead in the 2024 Edo governorship election as results from various polling units are trickling in. Tensions remain high as major candidates, including Asue Ighodalo (PDP), Monday Okpebholo (APC), and Olumide Akpata (LP), vie for the governorship.
In Oredo Ward 12, units at Agbado Primary School have begun counting, with the PDP narrowly edging ahead. Early results show close competition between the PDP and APC, with Labour Party also gaining ground in some areas. The final outcome is still uncertain, but this election is set to shape the political future of Edo State.
