In response to potential flooding disasters in Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has taken action by appointing Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, as the chairman of a committee tasked with creating a plan to address flooding nationwide. Akon Eyakenyi, the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, will serve as the vice chairman of the committee. The committee will integrate various reports on flooding and deliver recommendations within seven days. This decision was made during an emergency meeting presided over by Vice President Kashim Shettima. The goal is to be proactive in addressing potential flooding issues, with responsibilities shared among different government agencies and commissions. #OMAGIST@AFRICAWORLDNEWS*
