Omoyele Sowore, the convener of the #RevolutionNow movement, has sharply criticized a recent Council of State meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Sowore, a former presidential candidate, mocked the gathering of past and present leaders, including President Bola Tinubu and former President Muhammadu Buhari, by labeling it a “failure summit.”

He took to his X account to express his views, sarcastically calling the event a “meeting of failures” and highlighting the perceived shortcomings of both current and former presidents. The Council of State, which advises the President on key policy issues, saw the participation of several former presidents, although Olusegun Obasanjo was notably absent. This meeting took place against the backdrop of ongoing nationwide protests against economic hardship and the removal of the fuel subsidy.
