Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, expressed concern about the Supreme Court’s current staffing, with only 10 Justices available, the lowest in contemporary history. He mentioned this during the retirement ceremony of Justice Musa Dattijo Mohammed, who turned 70. CJN Ariwoola reassured that efforts are underway to appoint additional Justices to address the shortage. He praised Justice Dattijo’s distinguished career and celebrated his contributions to the judiciary, noting his unwavering commitment to justice and fearless honesty in his judicial role.
