Several individuals hired to participate in a pro-government rally in Abuja have expressed frustration after being left without food, water, or payment.

The demonstrators, part of the “Say No To Protest” event organized to counter the upcoming #EndBadGovernance protest, shared their grievances in a viral video. One protester said, “Tinubu said they should call us to give us support and that he doesn’t want protest. He said he would give us support.”

However, the demonstrators claim they were abandoned by the organizers after the rally, left stranded and unpaid. Another demonstrator voiced dissatisfaction, stating, “We are here, men, women, and children all abandoned. Nigeria has no president. We don’t have a leader.”

When asked if they would join the nationwide protests scheduled for August 1, they affirmed their intention to participate. The rally at Eagles Square featured placards reading “Say No To Protest,” aiming to counter criticism of the government’s handling of economic issues.
