Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumeje, claimed that all Nigerians are illiterates as long as the country remains underdeveloped.

The Onitsha-based pastor argued that true literacy is linked to the presence of robust infrastructure and technological advancement, citing Dubai as an example of an educated society.

Odumeje emphasized that in countries with advanced economies and high living standards, like Dubai, one can observe continuous development and modern innovations. He criticized the state of Nigeria’s infrastructure, stating that the lack of digital progress and modern amenities disqualifies any Nigerian from being considered truly educated. The pastor’s remarks have sparked significant debate and highlight ongoing concerns about Nigeria’s developmental challenges.
