The National Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) will meet on Tuesday to consult their members on the decision regarding the ongoing nationwide strike.

This follows negotiations with the Federal Government led by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume.

Key resolutions from the meeting include a commitment by President Buhari to a national minimum wage higher than N60,000 and daily meetings of the Tripartite Committee over the next week to finalize the wage.

Labour has agreed to consider the government’s commitment and ensure no worker faces repercussions for participating in the strike.
