Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate from the 2023 elections, has outlined his conditions for a potential merger with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a recent interview with NoireTV, Obi emphasized that any alliance must prioritize the greater good of Nigeria, focusing on improved governance and aiding the poor. He responded to PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar’s merger suggestion by stressing that he supports unifications aimed at benefiting the country, not merely for electoral gains or political dominance.
Obi reiterated his commitment to Nigeria’s development and the welfare of its citizens as his primary motivations.
