Prophet Sampson Amoateng, founder and General Overseer of House of Miracles Ministries, has issued a stern warning to pastors who force their congregants to pay tithes.

In an exclusive interview, Amoateng emphasized that tithing should be a voluntary act of gratitude and generosity, not a mandated obligation. Amoateng highlighted the biblical roots of tithing, citing scriptures from Deuteronomy, Malachi, and Matthew. He argued that true giving must come from the heart and that coercion undermines the spiritual significance of tithes. Amoateng also criticized the practice of documenting tithes, labeling it as a carnal act.

While acknowledging the financial and communal benefits of tithing, Amoateng stressed that the practice should foster a genuine relationship with God and promote spiritual growth, not financial pressure. He pointed out that even non-churchgoers can practice generosity without being forced.

Amoateng’s message calls for a return to the foundational principles of voluntary giving, underscoring that authentic generosity and faith cannot be compelled.
