The Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) apologized for a malfunction on its results viewing portal, which displayed a blank screen early Friday morning.

The issue was resolved after approximately two hours. Despite the glitch, local offices continued capturing results, and technicians worked diligently to restore services. The IEC assured the public that the results were not compromised.

At the time of the restoration, 54.9 percent of polling stations had logged results, with the ruling African National Congress (ANC) at 41.86 percent, the Democratic Alliance (DA) at 23.67 percent, and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) at 19.98 percent.
