Nobel Laureate Prof Wole Soyinka criticizes the Nigerian government’s decision to keep Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in prison.

Soyinka argues that Kanu, who was extradited to Nigeria in 2021, should be allowed to pursue his cause peacefully. He denounces Kanu’s detention as “kidnapping” and urges the government to either try him or release him.
