Former President Barack Obama praised President Joe Biden’s political career but stopped short of fully endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic presidential nomination after Biden announced he would not seek reelection.

Obama expressed confidence in the Democratic Party’s ability to choose a strong nominee at the upcoming convention and highlighted the importance of continuing Biden’s vision for America.

While prominent Democrats like Bill and Hillary Clinton have endorsed Harris, key figures such as Nancy Pelosi, Hakeem Jeffries, and Chuck Schumer have not yet done so. Harris vowed to unite the Democratic Party and defeat Donald Trump and his Project 2025 agenda. Meanwhile, Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, distanced themselves from The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025. The Democratic National Convention will be held from August 19-22 in Chicago, Illinois.
