Ghanaian chef Failatu Abdul-Razak’s bid for the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon has ended in controversy.

Despite initially appearing to break the record with over 227 hours of non-stop cooking, Failatu has been disqualified by the organization for failing to meet their stringent guidelines.

This follows a similar disqualification of another Ghanaian, Afua Asantewaa, who attempted the record for the longest singing marathon.

Both cases have stirred debate over adherence to Guinness World Record rules and regulations.
