The streets of Bissau erupted into a jubilant celebration as crowds welcomed Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye with open arms during his official visit to the country. The President’s arrival marked a historic moment in the relations between Senegal and Guinea-Bissau, signaling a renewed commitment to strengthen bilateral ties.

Greeted with full military honors by his counterpart, President Général Umaro El Mokhtar Sissoco Embalo, President Faye was embraced by the warmth and enthusiasm of the Senegalese community, who mobilized in force to offer an exceptional welcome.

The visit, part of President Faye’s diplomatic tour of neighboring African capitals, underscores the importance of fostering closer cooperation and collaboration between nations.
