Former Sokoto State Governor, Attahiru Bafarawa, has revealed a troubling trend in his state and village where farmers are forced to pay bandits for access to their farmlands.

Bafarawa expressed concern that if President Bola Tinubu doesn’t address the situation, his food security agenda may fail, potentially leading to severe crises.

He emphasized the critical link between peace, security, and food production, warning of dwindling harvests if farmers continue to face insecurity.
